JustWipeMetadata

How It Works

1

Select Your Image

Drag and drop an image onto the upload area, or click to browse your files. We support JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC formats.

2

View Hidden Metadata

We read and display all the metadata embedded in your image. This includes:

  • GPS coordinates — exact latitude and longitude where the photo was taken
  • Camera information — make, model, lens, and serial number
  • Capture settings — exposure, aperture, ISO, focal length
  • Date and time — when the photo was taken and edited
  • Software — which apps or programs modified the image
3

Automatic Processing

As soon as your image is loaded, we automatically process it to remove all metadata. This uses your browser's native Canvas API.

Technical note:

The Canvas API only preserves pixel data when exporting. All metadata, including EXIF, IPTC, XMP, and ICC profiles, is discarded during this process.

4

Choose Output Settings

Select your preferred output format and quality:

  • JPEG — best for photos, adjustable quality, smaller file sizes
  • PNG — lossless compression, preserves exact pixels, larger files
  • WebP — modern format, excellent quality at smaller sizes
5

Download Your Clean Image

Click the download button to save your metadata-free image. You can also copy it directly to your clipboard. The original image is never modified.

Why Local Processing Matters

Many metadata removal tools require you to upload your images to a server. This means your private photos — complete with location data and personal information — are sent to and processed by someone else's computer.

JustWipeMetadata is different. Everything happens in your browser. Your images stay on your device. There's no upload, no server processing, and no way for us to access your data.
