Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, and we have no way to access them.

What metadata is removed?

All EXIF data is removed, including: GPS coordinates, camera make/model, lens info, exposure settings, date/time stamps, software used, thumbnails, and any other embedded metadata.

Will removing metadata affect image quality?

The image is re-encoded during the process. At the default 92% quality setting, the difference is imperceptible. You can adjust quality or use PNG for lossless output.

Does this work offline?

Yes! Once the page is loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and the tool will continue to work. No server connection is required for processing.
